Our History

Linden Comansa, originally known as “IMAUSA”, commenced activities in the early 1960’s, as jig and tool makers, supplying principally the larger sub-contractors to the then fast-growing automotive industry.

Linden Comansa has been building tower cranes since 1963. The first Linden 8000 modular system cranes were built by Linden-Alimak in Sweden in 1978. These were the first true cantilever cranes to be offered to contractors.

Having successfully survived the Great Recession

That hit most construction manufacturing companies worldwide, Comansa is in a great position to capitalize on the latest uptrend. Throughout the recession Linden Comansa never let up on new designs and models of cranes. Recently the new 21LC660 has been introduced in the flat top series, a new family of 16LC series cranes has been developed to economically serve many sectors, and the new 30LC series has been successfully introduced with the largest 30LC1450 installed in Paducah, Kentucky.
